Mexicanadiense, mariachis and maple, Kelly McLaughlin has a lifetime of stories from Mexico. Espanglish fun with friends, travel and adventure, 20 years of life in Mexico as Cancun Canuck has evolved into Doña Canucka. Older, wiser, sillier, she is always good for a smile or carcajadas over tacos and a cold Coca Light.

October 10, 2003, Toronto Pearson International Airport. Freshly divorced and untangled from commitments, my backpack full of bikinis and emotional baggage. I board the plane for Cancun with no real plan in mind. I was certainly not planning on moving to Mexico. That just happened by accident. Tequila may have been involved.

Jump to 2023 and I am still in Mexico. Living in Cancun with my kitties, working as a writer in the tourism industry and hanging out in my Treehouse of Love. I don't feel like an "expat" anymore, this is just my life. Una mezcla de cosas de Mexico, de Canada and de mi weird little brain.
